Wayfarer International Rally 2025 Rantzausminde 9 – 16 August
International Wayfarer Rally in Denmark
10th – 15th August 2025
Venue: Rantzausminde, Svendborg, on the island of Funen (Fyn)
The rally will be based on the most perfect of locations for this most international annual event to date, with likely participants from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark (obviously!), Holland, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, UK, Ireland, Canada and the USA.
The campsite is right on the water’s edge, with the Wayfarers moored to stakes in the immediate area of shallow water. You just walk down the few yards to your boat with the day’s gear, and sail off! There are many islands, large and small in the immediate vicinity to visit. Should the weather not be suitable for sailing, there are many opportunities for sightseeing on the island of Funen.
Accommodation:
The rally has its own field on the campsite, where there will be plenty of space for tents, RUV’s and caravans. Also available are on-site, well equipped, mobile homes as well as local bed-and-breakfast places available. (Please book through the registration address below).
Schedule:
The rally starts on Sunday, 10th Aug with a welcome barbeque in the evening. The last full day is Friday 15th Aug, with a farewell dinner in the evening. There will be plenty of opportunity during the weekday evenings to meet up and socialise with the many other international participants in the marquee erected on site solely for such use during the rally. You are welcome to book to arrive at the site earlier, or stay longer.
Travel guide:
The journey to Rantzausmnde from the UK is a long one, but it is guaranteed to be worth it! The recommended route is by road from the Hook of Holland via Hamburg, Kolding, Odense, and Svendborg.
Those flying in from overseas would need to take a train from Cpenhagen airport to Svendborg, where a taxi service will operate to take you to the rally site.
Limitations: The rally will be limited to 50 sailors, according to the principle first come first serve, as well as priority on the largest possible international presence.
